Self-exclusion Verified
A person may enter a self-exclusion agreement with a licensee covering all gambling including online; the Authority keeps a register and notifies all licensees, who must refuse service, stop marketing within two days, close the accounts and return the funds (Act, section 115). The GRA says requests can be made in person or by e-mail to support@bclb.go.ke, for a period typically from 6 months to 5 years.

Age check at registration Verified
An online operator may not register a child as a player and must require proof of age of majority before registering every player (Act, section 72). The Act does not print a number of years in that section.

Betting with a child is an offence Verified
Betting with a child, receiving a bet through a child, or sending a child betting advertising is an offence punishable by a fine of up to one million shillings or up to one year in prison, or both (Act, section 109).
“A person who— (a) bets with a child; (b) employs a child in a licensed betting premises or in connection with a pool betting scheme or in the effecting of any betting; (c) receives or negotiates a bet through a child; or (d) sends to a child any information, notice, advertisement, letter, or other document relating to betting, commits an offence and shall be liable upon conviction to a fine not exceeding one million shillings or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year, or to both.”

Betting on credit is prohibited Verified
